Mission Statement
The Mission of the Hopland Band of Pomo Indians is to preserve and protect the natural resources of the Hopland Reservation.
The Hopland Tribal EPA Department strives
- To plan, develop, design, promote and administer sound environmental programs, regulations, codes and ordinances for the Hopland Band of Pomo Indians.
- To assess, protect, and enhance the environmental Tribal resources (land, air, and water) on Reservation homelands in order to manage for multiple land uses.
- To protect and conserve natural resources, wildlife and salmon habitats for current and future generations.
- To support the cultural link of the Tribe to the natural resources throughout the Reservation that are used for traditional practices
As the Hopland Tribal EPA Department continues to ensure protection, conservation and restoration of Tribal homelands, conveying these messages to our community is just as important as us receiving it.
